About Us

SMB Cloud Partners is a Colorado-based information technology consulting firm dedicated to helping small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) leverage cloud computing technology to achieve business success. It was founded by Douglas Graham who, prior to forming SMB Cloud Partners, led the information technology function at publishing companies ranging from startups to public companies generating over $1 billion in annual revenue.

The publishing industry was an early adopter of cloud technology and began its foray into the cloud in the early 2000's with third-party hosted solutions for its high-traffic websites and content management systems. Moving its web operations to cloud-based solutions meant that publishing companies no longer had to buy, build and maintain the internal infrastructure and expertise required to support the huge spikes in website usage that typically only occurred a few times each year in conjunction with significant news events (e.g. natural disasters, major crimes, elections, etc.). With cloud solutions, they only paid for the resources they actually consumed, resulting in reduced costs and increased agility and flexibility.

As publishing companies came to realize that the cloud solutions they were using for their web operations provided them with significant advantages, they pressed their other application software providers for cloud solutions and began moving more and more of their technology operations to cloud-based solutions (e.g. Financials, HR/Payroll, Supply Chain, Logistics/Distribution, CRM/Sales Automation, Order to Cash, Content Management Systems, etc.). As a result, a number of publishing companies now operate solely on cloud-based platforms with most others in the industry moving quickly in that direction. 

With the expertise gained through many years developing and deploying cloud technology solutions in the publishing industry. Mr. Graham formed SMB Cloud Partners to help companies across all industries take advantage of the significant business benefits offered by cloud-based technology solutions.
